About CRBS
Mission Statement
The Center aspires to fulfill
the following goals:
- to promote innovation and excellence in
the humanities with a strong commitment to interdisciplinary
studies;
- to provide new research and teaching opportunities
for faculty within the College;
- to be a formative presence in Renaissance
and Baroque Studies through symposia, published proceedings
volumes, and an interdisciplinary journal;
- to increase visibility for the College and
the campus by promoting ties with other area research and cultural
institutions;
- to maintain relationships with Maryland
school teachers, thereby fulfilling the campus's public service
commitment to the citizens of the state;
- to increase access to current humanities
scholarship for the community.
