CAST and Forest Park High School have had a long and rewarding history of partnership in bringing theater to students through From Page to Stage. Theater professionals lead students on a challenging and entertaining exploration of theater arts and performance.

The 2002 version of the program took place at Forest Park in February and March. Twenty ninth through twelfth graders participated in a series of five after-school workshops led by director Drew Kahl. For many students, From Page to Stage provided an introduction to the previously unknown world of drama through a series of confidence building and skill enhancing activities. The students

• played theater games to develop and hone listening and speaking skills
• learned to appreciate the relationship that exists between performer and audience
• attended a theatrical performance at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center
• concluded with their own performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream, pictured below
