Description:
This workshop on electronic resources for the study of early modern women
will feature a demonstration of the
Early
Modern Women Database, created and maintained by librarians at the University
of Maryland. The database contains links to around 500 websites carefully
chosen for their scholarly value. The formal presentation will be kept brief
in order to allow workshop participants time to explore the database on their
own. Librarians will be present to advise and assist. The database itself
is freely available on the web and will be accessible to participants after
the conference, though access to some of the resources is restricted. The
workshop presenters are Patricia Herron, Judy Markowitz, Alan Mattlage, Joan
Stahl, and Susanna Van Sant.
