Pre- and Post-Encounter Arts of the Early Americas

June 22 – 29, 2009

The University of Maryland invites you to explore the drama of the encounters between Native Americans and Europeans, the artifacts of indigenous cultures, and the resulting interplay of arts and ideas.

  • Learn new arts integration techniques.

  • Develop lesson plans that connect the arts to other core subjects.

  • Collaborate with energetic and inspiring colleagues from all over Maryland.
  • Earn 3 MSDE Continuing Professional Development Credits or, with fees, 3 University of Maryland graduate credits.


Now a non-residential program.  Teachers of all grade levels and disciplines welcome!
