PARKING

Park in the Union Lane Garage, adjacent to the Stamp Student Union, for a fee ($2.00 for the first hour, $1.00 for every hour thereafter, with a $10.00 per day maximum).
OR, park in Lot 1 beyond Cole Field House for free, but check the signs CAREFULLY to be sure that you are, indeed, in a Lot that bears a sign, on the end of the row in which you are parked, that says “You are welcome to park without a permit before and after above posted hours.”

Recommended:

  1. Take I-95 South to the Capital Beltway East (I-495).
  2. I-95 South will merge to the left, joining I-495.
  3. Take Exit 23 "201 Kenilworth Avenue Bladensburg Greenbelt".
  4. Proceed south on 201 in the direction of "Greenbelt Road and Bladensburg".
  5. At second light, turn right onto Paint Branch Parkway.
  6. Proceed approximately two miles to U.S. Route 1.
  7. Cross U.S. Route 1 and enter the campus.  As you enter campus, Paint Branch Parkway becomes Campus Drive
  8. Follow Campus Drive, go 180 degrees around the M, and continue on Campus Drive.
  9. Pass the Student Union and turn right onto Union Lane.  Paid parking ($2.00 for the first hour, $1.00 every hour thereafter, maximum $10.00 per day) should be available at the Union Lane Garage.
  10. If the Union Lane garage is full or closed for some reason, continue downhill on Union Lane.
  11. Turn left at the bottom of the hill onto Field House Drive.
  12. Turn right at the half-circle onto Valley Drive, and enter the Stadium Lane Garage.  Here, too, paid parking is available for the same rates mentioned above.

Alternate:

  2. Take exit 27 (to the right at the split) and then follow signs to Exit 25 (left exit), "U.S. 1 South, College Park".

  5. Follow Campus Drive, go 180 degrees around the M, and continue on Campus Drive.

  4. Go South on New Hampshire Avenue, approximately 1/2 mile.
  5. At the second traffic light, turn left onto Adelphi Road.
  6. Proceed approximately 2.3 miles.  Turn left onto University Boulevard, MD route 193.
  7. At the first traffic light, turn right onto Stadium Drive.
  8. When you reach the traffic circle, travel 1/4 of the way around to make a right turn onto Valley Drive.
  9. Turn left into the Stadium Lane Garage.  Paid parking is available here ($2.00 for the first hour, $1.00 for evey hour thereafter, maximum $10.00 per day).
